The Adel City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

Items on the agenda include public hearings in regards to a $5.5 million general obligation loan, the fiscal year 2018 budget, an application for rural development for financial assistance to develop public infrastructure and plans for the brick streets project.

New business items include approval of the $5.5 million capital loan notes, approval of the budget, consideration of a patio license for Brick Street Bakery, an amendment to the tax abatement program and setting a public hearing in regards to proposed annexation and changes in the zoning code.

The Council will then consider an amendment to the water utility improvement project, approve a soil boring contract, consider a special event permit, approve a letter of support for an application to the Iowa Municipal Professionals Institute and Academy and consider a contract with the Region XII Council of Governments.

The meeting takes place at 6pm at the Adel City Hall.
