A partial squad of Greene County High School track & field girls took part in Monday’s 24th Iowa State Girls High School Classic in Ames. No team score was kept inside the Lied Recreation Center on the Iowa State University Campus with more than 50 teams participating from all over the state. Coach Kelly Simpson entered individuals only due to there being no school because of Spring Break and some squad members being gone.
Greene County results:
High jump (60 jumpers)- Megan Durbin, 5′ 2″, tie for 5th place.
Long jump (73 jumpers)- Janelle Trophy, 13′ 7-3/4″, 35th place.
Shot put (70 throwers)- Kenna Marquardt, 31′ 5″, 23rd place; Onica Delp, 28′ 6-1/2″, 39th place.
60 meter hurdles (96 runners)- Melanie Doran :10.59, 32nd place.
3,000 meter run (51 runners)- Haley Hall, 12:18.88, 23rd place.
The Greene County boys are scheduled to take a skeleton crew to the Lied Recreation Center today.
