Perry area residents are invited to learn more about the May 2nd Dallas County Law Enforcement Bond Referendum next week.

Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard will host a town hall meeting on Thursday, March 23rd at the Perry Public Library.  All area voters are encouraged to attend and learn more about the need for a new facility.

Citizens for Dallas County member Mark Powell says there are many benefits to constructing a new law enforcement center and it’s important for people to educate themselves and then get out and vote.

“Dallas County has to have 60 percent ‘yes’ votes to pass this bond referendum.  So the more people that can go out and support this, obviously the better our chances are to meet that 60 percent threshold.”

The meeting starts at 6:30pm.
