The rescheduled event is happening next week in Jefferson to help those with their careers.

The third installment of the Get Connected events is called Work It! The event will be held at the Greene County Elementary School this Monday. It starts with a free beefburger meal in the cafeteria at 6pm. Then from 6:30 to 7:00, participants can choose to receive resume tips from Iowa Workforce Development’s Amber Casebeer or sit in employer discussions with American Athletic Incorporated/Spalding/Russell Brand Athletics, Scranton Manufacturing and John Deere in Paton.

The next session will be from 7 to 7:30pm. Attendees can get resume assistance from high school instructor Teresa Green and Casebeer or sit in more employer discussions with Wild Rose Entertainment, Home State Bank and Jefferson Telecom. The final session is from 7:30 to 8:00. Casebeer will review some interviewing tips and Green will provide more resume assistance.

Job applications in Greene County will be available throughout the evening. Plus, free childcare for children ages four to twelve will be provided from 6:30 to 8pm.

The event is free and open to the public. It was rescheduled from March 6th due to inclement weather.
