The Jefferson Public Library held another successful adult winter reading program this year.
Thirty-one participants read 315 books, performed 702 acts of kindness and other activities related to this year’s theme “Build a Better World.”

Prizes were awarded at the final party at the library last Saturday. Library Director Jane Millard says Linda Rice read the most books, while Elaine Deluhery performed the most acts of kindness and Jane Healy completed all the activities. Deb Etherton won the grand prize drawing of $75 in Greene County Chamber bucks.

Millard says everyone enjoyed the theme this year and they are planning on hosting it again next year with a different theme. She adds that all the participants made a conscious effort to make the world a better place.
The program ran from the beginning of January through March 11th.
