Several area students qualified for the Iowa High School Speech Association All-State Individual Festival.
Adel-DeSoto-Minburn’s Chloe Spoonmore was nominated as a performing act in prose. Dallas Center-Grimes had two students qualify for all-state including Holly Ellis in public address and Spencer Navara in radio news. Both students were nominated as a performing act.
Each student started at the district level on February 25th. From there, the students qualified for the state contest that was held on March 11th. To qualify for all-state, a student must receive the majority of nominations from their judges.
The all-state festival will be held on Monday, March 27th at the University of Northern Iowa.
