The “Takeback Bridgewater, Iowa” initiative is announcing a public forum meeting on Tuesday, March 28. Adair County Sheriff Jeff Vandewater, representatives from the Bridgewater City Council and a drug treatment counselor will attend the meeting. Organizers hope to answer questions and educate those who attend. Doug Miller, who formed the group after a rock pile near Bridgewater was vandalized with the word “Meth” says he is encouraged by the support the effort has seen so far.
“People in Bridgewater were very upset following the incident and we have really seen the community unite around this cause. I really hope to continue this and see something positive rise out of it.”
The meeting will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Bridgewater Community Center.
