Bell Tower Festival Logo 2017The steering committee for this year’s Bell Tower Festival in Jefferson continues to confirm plans ahead of the celebration in June.

A change to this year’s festival is bringing back inflatables. Co-Chair Delaney Gibson says they’ve hired “Bounce Around Inflatables” from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They have inflatables that cater to people of all ages including the tv show Wipeout’s version of the red balls that people can run across, a wrecking ball game, oversized boxing ring with gloves and headgear and a bungee run. They will also have games like a giant twister, plinko and a ring toss. Gibson explains why they wanted to go back to inflatables.

“We were looking at mechanical rides and there was a couple of different options, but they were really expensive. So we started looking into inflatables but the problem with inflatables is that a lot of them, you have to be a kid. Honestly, I just Goggled inflatables and this thing popped up and I clicked on it and I was like ‘Huh, this looks interesting.’ And I started looking through the rides and I noticed that they were for all ages and they were really fun.”

Another part of the festival is the plaza stage entertainment on Saturday following the parade. Plaza Stage Entertainment Chair Becky Greiner has scheduled all the acts including the Greene County Singers, Town and Country Band, Prairie Blue dancers, the Rhythm Room dancers, Elite Tumbling and magician David Casas.

The festival is from June 9th through the 11th.
