Although none of the five weekdays this week could be described a “ideal,” the Greene County boys’ track & field squad scheduled their meets on two of the best days. The Rams opened the season on March 27 in Jefferson at the Greene County Early Bird Meet, and they’ll be in Winterset today for a 14-team boys’ only meet starting at 4:30 p.m. Monday’s conditions were dry with light wind, and high temperatures reached into the low 50’s, and a duplication of those conditions today would be better than the much colder, wet, and windier weather we’ve had recently.

Greene County boys’ head coach Dean Lansman saw his Rams compete against Winterset on Monday. In addition to seeing the Huskies again, other teams in the field today are ADM, Carlisle, Clarke (Osceola), Creston, Earlham, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, Mount Ayr, Nevada, Nodaway Valley (Greenfield), Norwalk, Woodward Academy, and Woodward-Granger.
