The month of March turned out to be wetter than normal for our Raccoon River Valley area.

According to the National Weather Service, Perry received 1.8 inches of rainfall this week for a total of 2.49 inches for March. Guthrie Center had 1.61 inches of rainfall this week for a total of 3.12 inches for the month. Normal rainfall totals for Perry are 1.92 inches, while Guthrie Center’s is 2.6 inches.

Snowfall totals for Perry in March were three inches and their normal monthly total for March is 4.7 inches. Guthrie Center has 4.1 inches of snowfall for the month and their normal monthly total is 3.7 inches.
