The Adel DeSoto Minburn School Board approved the district’s budget for fiscal year 2018 at their recent meeting.

Their property tax levy rate for the next fiscal year will be $17.92 per $1,000 valuation. The tax levy remains unchanged for the third straight year.Over the last 10 years, the highest the district’s tax levy has ever reached was $18.62 in 2012. The Board says keeping their tax rates stable is an annual goal, and they’re pleased they have once again succeeded.

The largest component of the district’s overall budget is the general fund, which has a revenue figure of more than $18 million for the 2018 fiscal year.
