On a rather windy night both ADM Tiger soccer teams would earn a pair of wins against former conference rival Dallas Center-Grimes.
The class 2A 4th ranked Lady Tigers would have the home field advantage which they would take full advantage of routing the Fillies 7-0 while the 11th ranked Tiger boys soccer team endured a back and fourth match but would end out on top 3-2.
The Lady Tigers helped to solidify their 25th straight home win with an offensive showcase. Truman State signee Allie Cook had a night to remember with a hat trick of three goals and three assists. Two of those three goals would come in the first half as Cook and Izzy LaFollete would help ADM to enjoy a 3-0 lead at the half. Two of the assists in that half would come from Sydney Bertman who had a solid night herself with three assists and one goal.
The scoring surge would increase in the second half as Sydney Bertman, Allie Cook, Delaney Barton, and Chelsea Bright would all chip in a goal to allow ADM to cruise to a 7-0 win. The victory not only makes the Lady Tigers the only RRC team with an undefeated record, but also one of just 8 teams in the state to have both an unblemished conference and overall record.
On the boys side it was a seesaw like battle with several lead changes throughout the match. Dallas Center-Grimes opened up the scoring first in front of the hometown crowd just seven minutes into the match. ADM would have answers all night long and the first answer came eight minutes later when a two pass combination from Dakota Kahler to Eli Schqarzkopf would find Davis Barton to find the back right of the net. After the two teams went into the half tied at one, the Tigers would open up the second half scoring after Matthew Oberreuter would rebound the ball from a deflection and power it home for a Tiger 2-1 lead. The Mustangs would even the slate at 2-2 midway through the second half but the Tigers would have the last laugh when a successful cross from Connor York found Davis Barton who in turn would find Dakota Kahler for the goal.
The Tiger boys are now 6-2 with the win and return home Thursday to play Newton meanwhile the Lady Tigers put their undefeated record to another test up against Bondurant-Farrar on the road Friday night.
