Mother nature put a rather windy twist on the day for both ADM boys and girls golf teams yesterday afternoon. Winds may have exceeded over 20 mph but both squads were still in action and the girls would end up with a second place team finish on the day while the Tiger boys would endure a heart breaking one stroke defeat to the Carroll boys squad.

The Lady Tigers took on their third conference triangular of the season and did so in the comforts of the River Valley Golf Course in Adel against the likes of Carroll and Bondurant-Farrar. Carroll would be the team to take the crown on the girls side shooting a 191 while ADM would slide in at second place with a nine hole 213, and then Bondurant-Farrar to round out the field in third with a 252.

Lindsey Lange earned her third runner up medal of the season so far notching a nine hole round of 46 to pace the Lady Tigers. The second place queen Bailey Danner continued her more than solid season taking second on the team with a 9 hole 52. Danner has earned runner up for the Tigers in all but one meet on the season; that one meet is where she would take first. The Lady Tiger scoring on the day would round out with Morgan Wagoner shooting a 56, Kaylee Wheeler shooting a 59, and Emily Neumann rounding out the scoring with a 64.

The Tiger boys golf team swapped venue’s and endured a heart breaking one stroke defeat to Carroll on the road 173-172. Yet again ADM would send an individual to the medalist stand as Jacob Schumacher would earn runner up medalist for the meet thanks to his nine hole round of 41. Junior Micah Moyer was just one stoke off from Schumacher coming in with a solid 42 on the afternoon. Rounding out the varsity scoring would be Matthew West and Will Geadelmann both notching a 45 into their score cards.

Both teams will look to rebound this Thursday when the girls hit the road for a one on one contest against Woodward-Granger while the boys return home for a conference triangular against Boone and Winterset.
