The American Cancer Society celebrates cancer survivors and their caregivers throughout our community, state, country, and world.
Guthrie County Relay for Life will have their annual Survivor and Caregiver Celebration tonight from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Sneakers Café, located at the Guthrie County Hospital. All cancer survivors and their caregivers are invited to participate in the event.
Cancer survivor Christina Radke will share her story of survival, and there will also be a special survivor and caregiver ceremony with entertainment by the AC/GC High School All-State Choir. Relay for Life Senior Community Manager Kim Durst described the importance of the event to Raccoon Valley Radio.
“Every day that we have with cancer survivors is important and worth celebrating. Christian Radke has a great story to tell about her trip to Mount Kilimanjaro and Guthrie County Hospital always spoils us with the food and space they provide. So it should be a lot of fun and we hope people come out to celebrate.”
Luminarias will be available along with information on the 2017 Relay For Life.
