It was a solid pair of outings from the ACGC girls and boys golf teams Tuesday afternoon at the Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Van Meter.

The field consisted of conference rivals Ogden and Van Meter on the boys side and it would be the Bulldogs of Ogden to win in nail biting fashion 186 to 187 over Van Meter. The Chargers would round out the three team field with a nine hole score of 289.

Austin Hall would pace the day for the Charger boys shooting a 56 through nine holes followed by McKlain Jorgenson who ended his streak as the top scorer with his nine hole 65. Spencer Grove’s 68 through nine holes placed him third on the team while ACGC rounded out their scoring with Casson Benson etching in a nine hole round of 100.

On the girls side of things, there were only two Lady Chargers in action but they did preform fairly well on the day with Haley Sheeder’s 63 and Kena Baier’s 72 through nine holes.

Today it will be a solo contest for the Charger girls who will tack on nine more holes for the meet at the Woodward Golf Club this afternoon. The Chargers will be slated up against fellow conference members Madrid, Ogden, Panorama, and host Woodward-Granger along with non conference foes ADM, Ballard, and Perry beginning at 1:00 this afternoon.
