Greene County entities recently picked up some extra funds through the Community Partnerships for Protecting Children/Communities 4 Children Decategorization grants.
Supervisor Vice-Chair Dawn Rudolph sits on the board and says four local organizations received grant funds that they had leftover. Those groups include Greene County Early Learning Center for $4,900, $3,300 went to Greene County Public Health, $700 to Greene County Extension and Greene County Libraries Association received $2,600.
“Not very often do we ever have excess funds, so I was really glad that these Greene County groups got on the bandwagon. Actually, out of our four-county area, these were the only four new groups that did apply. So congratulations Greene County.”
Rudolph adds if they didn’t give away their extra funds by the end of the current fiscal year, the money goes back to the state. CPPC serves Greene, Guthrie, Carroll and Audubon counties.
