Today is the day to vote in the special election for the $22.9 million bond referendum for the proposed Dallas County law enforcement center.
County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Julia Helm encourages voters to confirm their voting locations prior to heading out to vote. Voters who appear at the incorrect polling location today will be instructed by the precinct election officials as to the proper location for them to vote. There are three precincts in Perry, with precinct one voting at the public library, precinct two voting at the public safety building, and precinct three voting at the McCreary community building. Your assigned precinct can be found on your voter registration form.
If you still need to register to vote, it can be done at your polling place, but you must bring proof of residence and photo identification. The polls open this morning at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m. tonight. Listen to Raccoon Valley Radio for results as they come in.
