The ACGC girls and boys golf golf teams entered into their first respective conference golf meets this week under the Charger name and put on a pair of solid outings.
The Lady Chargers took the first swing in conference action as the West Central Activities Conference girls golf meet was held Tuesday at the Lakeview Country Club in Winterset. While head coach Lori McGivney didn’t have enough individuals to count as a team score, both Charger girls took home top thirty finishes. Kena Baier punched in her 18 hole round tied for 28th individually shooting a 132. Fellow Lady Charger Haley Sheeder broke into the top 20 with her 18 hole score of 126 which put her in a three way tie for 19th.
The Charger boys golf squad took to the scenic Lake Panorama National golf course in Panora yesterday for their conference golf meet. They too unfortunately did not have enough golfers for a team score.
As for today’s action, the Charger boys golf team won’t have much rest as they are back at it again this afternoon. They will be hitting to road to square off in a one on one contest against Nodaway Valley which tees off at 1:30 pm this afternoon.
