The Guthrie Center City Council is considering installing a stop sign at the intersection of 4th and Park streets for the northbound intersection. At their next meeting this Monday, they will hold the second of three required readings of the ordinance. The issue initially came up after a homeowner near the intersection raised concerns about children’s safety when crossing the street. Individuals with input on the proposed stop sign can voice their opinions at the meeting, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Guthrie Center City Hall.
