The Guthrie County Sheriff’s office is warning the public about a door-to-door scam.

The Sheriff’s office is receiving reports of individuals in the area going door to door selling life insurance. A statement from the Sheriff’s office says the business practices of the the salesman are shady at best. The Sheriff’s offices warns the public not write any checks or entertain their sales pitch and to contact them with a vehicle description if you are approached.
