A well-known author recently visited the Stuart Public Library.

Author Joy Johnson of the Burned Out Old Broads book series, shared insights about her characters and some humorous stories Saturday. Library Director Lisa Sherman says Johnson had been described as very funny and she did not disappoint the 51 people who attended her talk.

“She was simply hilarious.”

Johnson also spoke about her work as a grief counselor and non-profit director.
