The Perry Crime Stoppers are offering cash rewards for information regarding two thefts in the City.

The first was the theft of two firearms, one of which has already been found. On April 24th, two handguns were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Railroad Street. The gun still missing is described as a 9 millimeter Glock, which was reportedly taken during the daytime hours. A second gun, a .22 caliber Smith and Wesson, was recovered a few days later in the Frog Creek area.

The second theft was from January, when several items including copper piping, decorative glass globes, and a large amount of heavy glass shelving was taken from buildings located on the northwest corner of 2nd Street and Willis Avenue. The building was under major renovation at the time.

The Crime Stoppers are offering rewards of up to $500 for information leading to the arrest and recovery of the missing weapon, and up to $300 for the other items. Anyone with information is asked to call 515-465-5661. Individuals may remain anonymous.
