It was a share of the Raccoon River Conference on the line last night as the ADM Tiger boys soccer team played host to the Perry Blue Jays in Adel.

It was a fast paced affair with a few lead changes thrown in but in the end ADM could not handle the 7th ranked Perry Blue Jays in a 2-1 defeat. Despite the flurry of activity of activity in the first half, it would be a rather low scoring affair with Perry taking a 1-0 advantage into the halftime break.

The 10th ranked Tigers could not be held down for long as ADM would bring down the equalizer just three minutes into the second half from a Davis Barton assist to a Eli Schwarzkopf goal. Despite many scoring opportunities on both sides, the Jays and Tigers remained deadlocked at 1-1 until the 15 minute mark in the second half brought on a penalty kick for Perry. Despite the best efforts from Drew Gordon and the Tiger defense, Perry would regain the lead on that penalty kick and they would not look back.

The Blue Jays would end up drawing out the clock and taking an outright title of 2017 Raccoon River Conference champion winning 2-1. The ADM Tigers now drop to 10-4 with the loss and will look to bounce back with a win tomorrow night at Tiger Stadium. Kick off begins at 7:00 pm.
