Yesterday Iowa high school girls golf classes 1-3 kicked off postseason play with regional meet action and for Panorama, the Lady Panthers found themselves at the Eagle Grove Golf Course for the class 2A region 3A meet.

Panorama was up against an 8 team field that included the likes of 3rd ranked Emmestburg who ended up taking the meet crown by striking a team score of 371. Unfortunately for Panorama, it would be Ogden to steal the second of two qualifying spots by sporting a 392 on the day. As for Panorama, they would unfortunately end their season ironically tying their 18 hole team low score of 424 which they’ve accomplished already once this season.

Panorama had an inauspicious start when one of their top golfers Cassie Lebath couldn’t play due to illness but it all quickly shook it off thanks to freshmen Alex Kurtz stepping in to round out the team. Madi Fear paced the Lady Panthers on the day notching just two strokes off of her season low 18 hole round by striking a 101 yesterday. After leading the Lady Panthers at the IKM-Manning Invite on Saturday, junior Anna Duis would take second on the team sporting an 18 hole round of 105 which tied for 15th place in the meet. Lauren McClatchey would put on a phenomenal performacne entertaining her personal nine hole record on the front nine shooting a 50 and then followed that up with a back nine score of 57 to put her at a 107 on the day.

Rounding out the score card for Panorama included Chloe Webster notching an 18 hole round of 116 while Alex Kurtz stepped up in the emergency role and played quite well connecting for 126 strokes on the day.
