Summer means many things: warm weather, no school, and of course the Perry farmers market.

Chamber of Commerce Director Bob Wilson says the Perry farmers market will start on Thursday, June 8th, and will run from 4-6:30 p.m. every Thursday through September. It will be held at Caboose Park in downtown Perry. He says they are still looking for vendors for the market, including providers of produce, baked goods, and even crafts. There is a small fee for taking part, but Wilson assures people it will be well worth their time.

Wilson adds, the farmers market isn’t the only reason to visit Perry on Thursdays this summer. “The popcorn lady’s out on Thursday night, La Poste is on Thursday night, lots of shops are open Thursday night. So it’s kind of the night to get about town.”
