Growing older is an inescapable facet of life, but the Perry Lutheran Home is hoping to make it easier for people to age with grace.

Starting tomorrow, they will begin their monthly seminar series called “Aging Well,” which are free programs aimed at helping people and their families better plan for the process of aging. The topic for tomorrow’s seminar is “How to Protect Yourself and Your Loved Ones from Financial Scams.” Al Perales, Consumer Protection Division Investigator with the Iowa Attorney General’s Office, will discuss different scams, how to protect yourself, and what to do if a family member becomes a victim.

The seminar will be offered at both 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., with food provided at both times. RSVPs are required to attend, and can be made by contacting Melissa Gannon at 515-465-5342 or melissa.gannon@perrylutheranhome.org.
