The Jefferson City Council will meet tonight.

The Council is expected to approve the 2017 fiscal year budget amendment following a public hearing on the topic. The Council will also consider for approval the second reading to amend an ordinance to allow for preschools and childcare facilities as special exceptions in the holding district; the first reading to amend an ordinance to increase the deposit to $150 for all municipal utilities the contract and bonds for the Community Development Block Grant; as well as easement agreements, owner acknowledgements, terms of contract and owner payment toward the downtown revitalization project. Additionally, the Council will consider for approval a fireworks permit with Wild Rose Entertainment.

Finally, the meeting will end with a quarterly Jefferson Matters: Main Street report.
