The ADM Tiger softball team opened up 2017 yesterday and did so in dynamic fashion by routing the visiting Des Moines Roosevelt Lady Rough Riders by tally of 10-0.

The offense came to life early on thanks to a first inning RBI double by Kila Carbine to put the Lady Tigers up early 1-0. ADM would plate two more in the fourth thanks to a walk and a sacrifice fly by Emma Jacobsen, one of two RBI’s for her on the night. Then the 5th inning would roll around and the offensive floodgates would open for the Lady Tigers erupting for 7 runs off of four hits, two of which would come off the bat of Lexi Wyant. In all 6 different batters would tally at least one RBI on the night.

Inside the circle , Abbie Hlas was dominating to the tune of 6 strikeouts, constantly getting ahead early with 11 first pitch strikes. Hlas would be very controlled not allowing a single walk issued all night.

The Lady Tigers now start their season 1-0 giving the hometown fans the win and now will have the chance to do so back to back with a home match up tonight taking on the conferences other Tiger team in Carroll.
