A Minburn man was seriously injured following a dirt biking accident in Greene County Monday.

Sheriff Jack Williams says at 11:24am a deputy and Greene County Emergency Medical Services responded to the accident at Flack River Farms in the 900 block of 222nd Street. Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio 53-year-old Douglas Repp was driving a dirt bike on private property, when he lost control, flew over the handlebars and landed on his head.

Repp was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Williams notes Repp was transported by helicopter to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

There was no damage to the dirt bike.
