Early offense set the table for the 10th ranked ADM softball squad to pick up their 5th win on the season routing the Blue Jays of Bondurant-Farrar last night 8-3.

After the Lady Jays pushed across one run from an Abbie Hlas wild pitch for the games first score, the talented freshmen settled down to go the distance with 7 strong innings, just three earned runs, two strike outs, and no walks inside the circle. Inside the batters box, Hlas recorded her 5th multi-hit game and seventh consecutive game with at least one hit with a 3-4 night.

It did not take long for ADM to strike early on Jayette pitching erupting for 4 runs in the bottom of the first courtesy of a pair of 2 RBI singles by Kila Carbine and Sierra Wyant. After Jeyette Sydney Carroll’s third inning two run blast shrunk the ADM lead to 2 runs, the Lady Tigers volleyed with a 3 spot in the bottom half. Two of those three RBI’s belonged to Sierra Wyant who ended the night 2-3 at the plate with three of ADM’s 5 RBI’s. Lindsey Lange’s successful steal home created ADM’s 8th run of the game in the 6th as the Lady Tigers would hold Bondurant-Farrar batting scoreless in the final four innings for the win.

The Lady Tigers are now 5-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play with the win and are now underway with the North Fayette weekend tournament. Saturday’s action for the Lady Tigers begins at 10:00 am.
