Thursday afternoon, the Perry Chamber of Commerce and Newbury Living hosted a ribbon-cutting event at the Willis Avenue Apartments.
The ribbon-cutting was to officially welcome Newbury Living to the Chamber. They recently opened both the Willis Avenue Apartments and the Hamlin-Bell senior living facility. Thursday’s event started with opening remarks from S.R. Mills, President of Bear Development, which spearheaded the facility. Other speakers included Dave Jamison, Executive Director of Iowa Finance Authority, and Olga Milendorf, Senior Asset Manager of Boston Capital.
Perry City Administrator Sven Peterson was not able to attend, so Chamber Director Bob Wilson spoke for both of them when he welcomed Newbury Living to the Chamber and the City. The ribbon was cut by Mills, and the event was concluded with a speech by Frank Levy, President of Newbury Living, who thanked everyone involved with the project for their hard work.
