The closing of the Springbrook State Park Conservation Education Center has resulted in changes for two popular youth camps.

The Hunting and Conservation Camp is closed this year and the Outdoor Journey for Girls has been rescheduled to three different locations in Iowa.

The Outdoor Journey Camp will be held at Dolliver Memorial State Park near Otho June 14-16, at Hickory Hills Park near LaPorte City July 11-13, and Clover Woods Camp & Retreat Center near Madrid August 2-4.

The Guthrie County Pheasants Forever Chapter has sponsored local youth to attend camps for years and wants to continue that partnership The local chapter would like to sponsor local girls, ages 12-15, to attend the Outdoor Journey Camp by covering the $150 registration fee.
