Several Greene County libraries are hosting kids summer reading programs.
The Grand Junction Library summer reading program is scheduled for June 7th through the end of July. They will have a kick-off event with a visit from the Blank Park Zoo at 10am at the library. The weekly summer reading program will be on Wednesdays at 1pm.
The Rippey Library will host a kids summer reading program from July 14th through August 4th. It will be on Mondays and Fridays from noon to 2pm. There will be weekly crafts and other activities, plus refreshments will be served. Registrations are now being accepted.
The Churdan Library is kicking off their summer reading program with a visit from the Blank Park Zoo this Wednesday at 1:30pm. The free event also includes a free lunch for children and adults. The program will meet weekly on Wednesdays. It starts at 9am with a baby and me program for those two-years-old and younger, followed by a program for preschoolers from 9:30 to 10:30am. School-age children will have their program from 1:30 to 2:30pm and a reading buddy program starts at 2:45pm.
The Paton Library will also kick off their summer reading program with the Blank Park Zoo on Friday at 1pm. They will meet once per week on Fridays at the library at 1pm. The program will end with a final party at the City park on July 21st.
