The offensive bats were back in full swing last night as the ADM Tiger softball team defeated non conference foe Greene County by the abbreviated score of 13-3 in five innings.
Despite a four error night for ADM only one miscue led to a Greene County run as ADM ended the night with those 13 runs off of 9 hits and just two left on base. Meanwhile Greene County put up three’s across the board with three runs off of three hits, three errors, and three runners left on base.
Inside the circle, Greene County’s Jenna Beyers took the loss giving up 7 earned runs off of 5 hits, two walks, and one strikeout in just over an inning of work. On the flip side Abbie Hlas started off the night with two straight strikeouts for ADM and proceeded to go five strong innings, giving up just two earned runs off of three hits, recorded no walks but did send forth 6 strikeouts on the night.
Six Lady Tiger batters had at least one RBI for the contest which was spearheaded by a fantastic night at the plate for Ashley Tennant. The ADM junior posted up an RBI in each of her three at bats going 3-3 with a 3 RBI night.
