The City of Adair’s annual city celebration is in its 62nd year.
The 2017 Jesse James Chuckwagon Days will be held June 24. Events planned for this year’s celebration includes a fun run, car show, parade, musical performances and a variety of food stands and other refreshments. A full schedule of Chuckwagon days events can be found below:
2017 Jesse James Chuckwagon Schedule – June 24
6:30 – 9:00 – Lions Club Breakfast – park shelter house
7:00 – Farmers Market and Vendor Fair, 4th Street and City Park
7:00 – Fun Run Walk sponsored by Hair Unlimited, City Park
9:15 – Chamber Kids Parade, Adair City Park, line-up at 9:00 on the slab – parade will go through the park.
9:30 – Chamber Baby Crawl
Chamber Little Miss Jesse James and Little Mister Gunslinger (ages 4-7)
10:30 – Parade – theme, “Under Construction.” Line up at Crawford & Crawford by 10:00.
10:30 – Adair Fire & Rescue Beer Garden & Barbecue, Fire Hall
11:30 – Methodist Church lunch
12:00 – Lions Club Snack Shack, City Park
12:00 – Chamber Sand Volleyball, City Park
12:00 – Poker Run, register at Fire Station
12:30-2:30 – Car Show and Shine, Main Street
1:00-3:00 – Kid’s activities – Tractor Pull, Petting Zoo, Inflatables, Balloon Animals, City Park
1:00-3:00 – Bingo – City Park Shelter House
3:00 – Sugar Creek Cloggers – Adair City Park
6:00 – Food truck style meal featuring Iowa’s Best Burger – Chuckwagon Restaurant; Iowa’s Best Pizza – Zipp’s Pizzeria; and Wow donuts – 3rd street south to the alley.
8:00 – Gates open on Main St., for Fire Department Street Dance. Featuring Brad Morgan. Music starts at 8:30.
