9_11 Memorial ExhibitThere are several free activities happening today in Jefferson to highlight the 4th of July.

The 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit is in its final day at Wild Rose Casino and Resorts. The free 1,000-square foot trailer featuring the events that happened during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 is open today from 2 to 8pm.

Wild Rose Jefferson Marketing Manager Aaron Harn says at 8pm there is a free concert with country music artist Corey Cox.

“Corey Cox is an up and coming country artist out of Nashville, who’s opened for Sugarland, Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker, Josh Turner and Chris Young. He sang at the Superbowl Village Stage last year. He’s a great artist who’s up and coming, so we’re looking forward to bringing him here.”

The free concert will be inside the Greene Room events center. Following the concert is the free fireworks display behind Wild Rose. The City of Jefferson and Wild Rose are partnering this year to put on a bigger fireworks display for $10,000.

All activities are free and open to the public.
