After a short hiatus, a Perry volunteer firefighter has rejoined the department.

In January of this year, Ben Brown resigned from the department because he and his family were relocating. However, due to unforeseen circumstances it was necessary for him to return to Perry. Upon his return, Brown reached out to Fire Chief Chris Hinds about re-joining the volunteer firefighters in Perry, and Hinds was anxious to get him back in. At the most recent Perry City Council meeting, they unanimously approved Brown’s reinstatement effective July 1st.
