A unique fundraiser will be going on during this year’s Greene County Fair.
For a third consecutive year, a quilt made with the People’s Choice blocks from last year’s county fair will be raffled off. Suzanne Sievers, owner of The Stitch in Jefferson, made the quilt using 25 blocks from batik fabrics from last year’s block contest to build the 90-foot-by-90-foot quilt.
The quilt is now on display in the storefront window of Addie’s until July 12th. It will then be moved to Clover Hall in the open exhibits area until the raffle drawing on Sunday, July 16th. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Greene County 4-H Foundation.
Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Tickets can be purchased during the fair until 3pm on Sunday, July 16th. You don’t have to be present to win.
