The Panorama baseball team may not have had the season they would have liked in terms of wins and losses, but never the less, there was a lot of growth made.

When you dive into the growth, a lot of it can be traced back to the skill, enthusiasm, and leadership of the seniors on the roster. For Panorama they had 7 seniors on the 2017 roster and while not every senior provided much in terms of on field production, the seniors provided more than just their skill as head coach Brian Bahrenfuss told Raccoon Valley Radio.

“They’re the ones that were the emotional energy guys on the team. That’s something we’re always looking to improve on and they (the seniors) did a great job at that and providing an example for the underclassmen. They were the guys who were doing the little things as well when it came to general maintenance of taking care of things after games as well, things that you don’t necessarily see on the ball diamond but in the dugout as well so that will be missed from all those guys,” stated coach Bahrenfuss.

The seven seniors on the 2017 Panther baseball roster and combined for 22 RBI’s, 28 hits, 27 walks, 13 steals, one home run with a collective .198 batting average. The two seniors that led the class were Justin Rolfs who ended the season hitting .224 with 10 RBI’s and Jeramy Randol who walked away from his senior season averaging .218 at the plate with 9 RBI’s and owner of the teams only home run.
