There’s lots going on today and tomorrow at the Greene County Fair.
Thursday’s events include the swine show at 8am at the showring, the rabbit show at the bus barn at 10am, a horse and pony show at the showring at 1pm and barnyard games at 2pm at the showring. Fair Board President Bob Allen talks about some of the other free attractions that are happening today.
“I have Poppin’ Penelope coming back with her balloon and magic show. (I’d say leave this out of your quote, since the listener will know it’s Thursday)She’s always very popular and the kids really enjoy what she does. Also too, we’ve got Matt’s Family Jam coming back. They’ll be here Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They do a great job of putting on a show.”
Poppin’ Penelope’s show starts at 8pm, followed by a free outdoor movie of “The Secret Life of Pets”.
Friday’s highlights include the sheep and goat show, beef pen-of-three judging and herd builder judging in the morning. The afternoon activities are the pet show and the 4-H fashion show. The beef barbecue with musical guest Town and Country Band performs in the evening, followed by the fair queen coronation ceremony and grandstand entertainment of the Grand River Rodeo and fireworks display.
