The Stuart City Council will meet today in regular session, though at a different time than normal.

The Council typically meets on Mondays, but this week’s meeting was postponed. The meeting will start with three presentations, including: Forrest Aldrich from Karl Chevrolet; Matt Dickinson about the sports complex; and Rescue Director Joe Hupp giving a rescue unit update. The Council will then discuss nuisance properties with Ed Leedom, and consider extra pay for the police department.

Other topics to be discussed include: signage and intersections; the City’s fireworks ordinance; a housing project tax incentive application; and a planning and zoning recommendation. Finally, they’ll consider a resolution in memory of Dennis Morgan.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the Stuart City Council Chambers.
