With the unfortunate ending of the softball season for the West Central Activities conference brings about the All-Conference selections.

For the ACGC, the first ever recipients under the Charger name are MaKayla Hoing and Sierra O’Brien, both earning honorable mention honors.

As for Sierra O’Brien, the sophomore packed quite the punch in 2017 striking a batting average of .337 while coming in second on the team in RBI’s with 21. O’Brien did led the team in total hits with 33 but also did a lot of damage to opponents on the base paths with a perfect mark of 18 stolen bases out of 18 attempts.

ACGC’s second honorable mention selection, MaKayla Hoing, also was critical piece for the Lady Chargers this season. Hoing led the team in batting average ending the year at .403 while connecting on 14 RBI’s throughout the year. Hoing accumulated 27 total hits on the season broken down into 18 singles, 8 doubles, and one home run. Hoing was also perfect on the base paths with 15 stolen bases out of 15 attempts.

Again, ACGC softball ended their inaugural season with two honorable mention honors for all conference selections with sophomore Sierra O’Brien and junior MaKayla Hoing.
