The Jefferson Police Department recently released information from the latest special Traffic Enforcement Program.
Captain Heath Enns says from July 1st through the 4th, officers issued 12 citations and 79 warnings. Three citations were each issued for speeding and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Two citations were each issued for seat belt and registration violations. One citation was issued each for blood alcohol level .02 or higher and other traffic violation. The most warnings issued were for other traffic violations with 20.
Also during that time frame, officers served two arrest warrants, investigated one traffic accident and conducted one canine search. For the full report, click the link below.
