guthrie county sheriffAuthorities are investigating a robbery at a bank in Casey.

Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright says they received a call about a robbery at Rolling Hills Bank around 8:15 Friday morning. A white male walked into the bank and fled on foot east on Logan Street with a bag with an undisclosed amount of cash. The subject was wearing a hoodie and glasses with a bandana pulled down to his glasses. Arganbright adds that they couldn’t get a close look at the male’s face from video surveillance. Arganbright believes the suspect didn’t use a weapon when he was inside the bank at the time of the robbery. The male is believed to have acted alone. No one was hurt in the incident.

Arganbright says because Rolling Hills Bank is a federal bank, the Federal Bureau of Investigation will also be investigating the incident. Other agencies involved include the Iowa State Patrol, the Iowa Department of Transportation and the Adair County Sheriff’s office.

The Guthrie County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help with any information about the case to call 641-747-2214.
