ADMFour ADM baseball players found there way onto spots for the All-South Central District teams for the 2017 season. The four player list includes sophomore Dalton Hews, junior Nick Lindgren, and seniors Jack O’Brien and Kade Overton.

The four selections were broken up into two first team and two second team selections. The two Tigers finding themselves on the second all district team were Dalton Hews and Jack O’Brien. Hews made his way in the outfield and earned his spot with the bat as the junior earned the districts 12th best batting average of .366. While his entry onto the all district squad wasn’t a result of his pitching, Hews put on quite the pitching performance on the year with 49 strikeouts and just 11 earned runs in 7 starts.

ADM’s second all 2nd team district selection was senior standout Jack O’Brien. Before he officially swaps a Tiger uniform for a Bearcat uniform the senior ended with a .301 batting average. That marks the second straight season O’Brien has ended the year with a batting average over .300. He led the team last year in RBI’s while just missing out on the team’s crown this year with nearly two RBI’s per game.

ADM’s two first team all district selections came from Nick Lindgren who earned his selection as a catcher while Kade Overton ends his Tiger tenure as a first team all district utility player. Lindgren was one of the biggest power bats for the Tigers this season at .372 while also leading ADM with 26 RBI’s. Lindgren ended the year tied with ADM’s second first team selection Kade Overton in walks with 16 free passes.

Kade Overton’s first team selection was also deserved. Out of 32 players in the south central district, Overton put up the 7th best batting average at .392. Overton averaged nearly two runs batted in per game and averaged under two strikeouts per contest.
