Recent Greene County High School graduates Hannah Promes, Logan Lansman, Nick Schroeder, and Trey Tucker, are among those planning to continue their athletic careers post high school. All four plan on taking the Community College route with Promes embarking on a volleyball career at Kirkwood Community College (Cedar Rapids). Schroeder and Lansman are joining the football team at Iowa Western Community College (Council Bluffs), while Tucker plans on playing basketball at Iowa Central Community College (Ft. Dodge). All four played at least three sports in high school.

Promes was an all-conference setter in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference, and she also was an all-conference softball player. A three-sport athlete, Promes also started on the Greene County girls’ basketball team.

Tucker was All-District in football and baseball, and was a second team All-State selection in basketball. He’s the all-time leading scorer for a Jefferson-based boys’ program at 1,811 points.

Schroeder is a former multiple State place winning swimmer and State track & field relay runner. He plans on being a receiver for Iowa Western.

Lansman was a four-sport athlete for the Rams. In addition to football, he was on State track & field relays, and played basketball and baseball.
