Greene County went 10-20 during the recently completed high school softball season. This was the first season in the last 10 the Rams did not win more games than they lost, but the Coach sees the potential for good things ahead and talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about a turning point. “We really got embarrassed at Saydel early in the season. It was the first time we played them and they beat us 12-0 in three innings. We had a talk on the bus with the girls on the way home. We decided we were going to changed things. We were going to change our perspective, and were going to basically forget the first part of the year and try to get better. It’s a credit to the girls that after starting 1-10 they finished 10-20.”

The Rams turned the tables on Saydel and beat them in Jefferson later in the season. That was one of the more satisfying wins of the season, according to the coach.
