The three-day Gridiron Football Camp wraps up today on the Greene County High School grounds in Jefferson. New Greene County head football coach Mitch Moore is the Camp Director and he’s being assisted by his high school and middle school coaching staff, as well as other volunteers. More than 100 campers in grades 4-12 are taking part.

This is Coach Moore’s first head coaching job on any level. He’s been an assistant coach in Milwaukee, WI area high schools, and has been on college coaching staffs. Prior to joining the Rams, Moore was the Director of High School Relations for Iowa State University.

High schools in Iowa may begin official practice on Monday, August 7. The Rams will open the season on Friday, August 25 in Jefferson at Linduska Field vs. the Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) Knights.
