The candidates for the Perry and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn school boards are in place, though there’s not likely to be much drama.

Each district has two open seats on their board, and each had two candidates file nomination papers. For Perry, Board President Kyle Baxter and the newest board member Casey Baldwin will be on the ballot. Baldwin took over in June for his mother, Marjean Gries, who passed away in April. For ADM, Board Vice President Kelli Book and board member Rod Collins will be on the ballot.

With no competition for any of the seats, both Perry and ADM will retain their current school boards, unless one of the candidates decides to withdraw, or is objected to. The Dallas County Auditor’s Office says people have until 5 p.m. this Tuesday to withdraw or object.
