The third annual Perry Cruise Car Show was held last Friday, and attendees were treated to beautiful cars and weather.

Perry Chamber of Commerce board member Dave Wright did most of the organizing for the event, and he felt it was the best one yet. “Well first of all, the weather’s perfect. That seems to be the big thing with most car shows, it’s determined on the weather. We’ve had three good years of weather, and this is probably the best of the three. We have a pretty good turnout here, pretty good crowd down here. So I would say at this point, it’s probably a success!”

There were a little over 100 cars in this year’s show, which is slightly less than what Wright had been hoping for. However, he realizes the numbers are largely dependant on other activities in the area. The show has grown each year it’s been held, so Wright does feel that’s a win. There were four awards given out for the show, including for best local vehicle, which was won by Rhonda Onken. Each award was accompanied by a unique, handmade trophy.

Wright feels there’s still things they can work on for next year, and he says they’ll begin planning immediately.
